This bothers me a bit... A literature site for fan stories and stuff is not allowing half of literature there is. For instance, a chat-based entry anywhere in the story, some mature scenes, copyrighted stuff... The copyrighted stuff is understandable but still like chatboxes? Some people don't have the talent to type as good as those famous authors and can only do it in a chatbox. Mature stores are makred M for a reason, that should be enough to tell someone, right?

Okay, so on Chicken Smoothie, my one and only RP site I go on, I'm having a few.... Frustrating problems.
Mainly the putting not disclaimer on a picture for character visualization.
Which is then considered art theft.
But seriously, must we ask the artist for permission?
What if the artist is no longer active online?
How come people on photobucket and other websites can repost the picture?
And abusive sites that repost the picture and make fun of it?
I understand if Chicken Smoothie has rules of art stuff, but what I listed above, grrrr this frustrates me so much.
How come the person puts it on the internet to begin with!?!
Because they want to SHARE IT WITH THE WORLD! (Well, the most common one)
And there is no garentee (however you spell it) that it will not be reposted.

No, as I explained it doesn't matter if you say you don't own it or credit "the owner." You would need to find the original artist and ask them if it's okay to use their image, and to be quite honest they would probably say no because most artist do not want their art randomly posted around the internet. I searched for the owner and cannot find it. This is a common occurrence because many artists remove their original works from the internet do to theft, which definitely means they do not want you to use it. I apologize if this explanation comes off as rude, but, in a real world example, if you steal someone's wallet and keep it, saying "this isn't mine" doesn't change the fact that you stole someone else's property and you are responsible for the theft. How would you feel if someone stole the personality, history, etc. of a character you made, but when you confronted them about it they said, "It's okay, I said it wasn't mine, so I can use it even if I don't give credit to USERNAME or ask first."

Well the person should have known that there are ACTUAL PEOPLE out there in the world, with working brains if I may add. This is the internet world people! Nothing can be removed once it's said! (Like this rant) So they should have thought before they posted!

I don't mean to offend anyone with this journal, just needed a place to vent it out, and to see your opinion on this matter... It might help me build on to my thoughts.

I was inspiered by with her recent comic and now want to make one of my own
Problem is that I can't really... Do comics for too long due to my lack of imagination...
